Professional development events in London

The London Academy provides professional development for people working in economic, social and community development in all parts of the world. Through our unique and innovative London Academy events, we offer two days of intensive professional development in key aspects of economic, social and community development. Each London Academy event provides a rich mix of theory and practice, based on showing you how practitioners in London have tackled some of Europe’s pressing problems. MORE

Where is the London Academy?

The London Academy is based in The Grange, a 17th Century manor house, only minutes away from central London. All our professional development training events take place here, and this is the base for our study visits and receptions.

Why London?
With a population of almost 8 million people and over 300,000 businesses, London provides a rich source of lessons and experience in managing economic, social and community development. From major house building programmes to small scale community centres, from London-wide employment projects to local business development centres. There is not much which has not been tried or tested in London. Some of it has been fantastically successful and some of it has failed. We want to help people from all over the world to learn from London's successes and to avoid repeating its mistakes.
